Dr. Jeffrey Anglen, MD, is an ABOS-certified, fellowship-trained, actively practicing surgeon providing unparalleled Expert Witness Services in Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Anglen’s medical school and Residency training was completed at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD, and his fellowship was completed at Tampa General Hospital. In his 36 years of active surgical practice, he has worked in both academic and private practices, in a variety of hospital sizes and types.
His academic career includes serving as a University Medical School department chairman, a director of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and as national president of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. In 2022, Dr. Anglen was named to the inaugural class of Fellows in the International Orthopaedic Trauma Association (FIOTA). He has produced over 100 scientific publications, multiple books and chapters and has been an invited lecturer in Europe, Asia and South America. He has received numerous awards and accolades.
Dr. Anglen’s expertise includes many aspects of orthopaedic surgery, especially fractures, orthopaedic trauma, joint replacement, and complications of surgery. He has been providing medicolegal consultation for over 30 years including issues of medical malpractice, personal injury, workman’s compensation, negligence, peer review, and causation. He has reviewed over 150 legal cases and provided testimony for dozens of cases in state and federal court. He offers objective evaluation and opinions; and strives to make complex issues understandable to non-professionals. His years as a teacher and speaker have refined his presentation skills.
